Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Housing and Support Recruitment Limited. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our children's home, working closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Home Manager in the overall management of the home, including staff supervision, training, and development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the home operates in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to our young people, including the development and implementation of individual care plans.
  • Assist with the recruitment, selection, and induction of new staff members.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure the home meets the highest standards of care and support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in childcare or a related field (e.g., social work, youth work).
  • Significant experience in a similar role, preferably in a children's home setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with young people, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including overnight sleep-ins, as required.
