Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in a busy factory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating coil winding machines and performing basic stores duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Operate coil winding machines efficiently and accurately, ensuring smooth operation and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Stores Duties: Perform basic stores duties, including handling materials and ensuring proper storage.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and organization in the work area, ensuring accuracy in number transfer and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safety-conscious approach, working methodically but efficiently to complete tasks without cutting corners.
Requirements
  • Clear handwriting for accurate record-keeping.
  • High standard of housekeeping.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and observation skills.
  • Methodical and fast approach to tasks.
  • Quality-driven with strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible and versatile, able to adapt to different tasks as needed.
  • PC literate and comfortable working with computers.
  • Counter Balance Forklift license (preferable).
Working Conditions

12-hour shifts (days and nights) on a 3-week rotation (Monday to Friday).

Compensation

£15.24 per hour (inclusive of shift premium).
