Financial Controller Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to support the Managing Director of a prestigious manufacturing business. This exciting role involves producing and reviewing monthly management accounts, as well as providing exposure to senior levels of the business and the Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of management accounts, budgets, and KPIs
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Stock and variance analysis
  • Key point of contact for the annual audit and all HMRC compliance
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
  • Cash forecasting
  • Work with the FD on business planning
  • Overseeing the finance team

The Financial Controller will report to the Finance Director and will be key in ensuring the timely and accurate production of monthly accounts. You will be analysing variances, reporting on KPIs, diving into the detail and directly influencing the company's decision-making.

The Financial Controller will have the line management and support of a Financial Accountant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, and Credit Controller. Manufacturing and ERP system experience is sought after for this role.
