Role Overview

As a Senior Gas Operations Engineer within our Emergency Response Division, you will primarily operate independently, being the first responder to incidents reported by our customers, including gas leaks and carbon monoxide alarms. This role involves direct interaction with customers and emergency services, and may require working during shifts and outside of regular hours.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Your duties will include monitoring gas levels during reported escapes and conducting safety surveys in various building types. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing safety valves, performing purges, and executing relights among other essential tasks.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • CCN1, CESP1 or CMA1 (Certification required for this position; certificates will be requested during the interview)
  • Experience in a gas-related environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of gas appliances, including testing, purging, and pipework commissioning
  • Strong customer engagement skills to ensure safety and satisfaction
  • Understanding of relevant Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice, and Health and Safety protocols
  • Problem-solving abilities and quick thinking in technical situations
  • A valid UK driving license
