Witham Lodge is a Salvation Army Lifehouse dedicated to providing shelter for individuals over the age of 18 facing homelessness.

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to become a vital part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a committed individual focused on maintaining a high-standard environment for our residents, our cleaning staff play a crucial role in ensuring safe and hygienic spaces where our clients can flourish. Your duties will encompass a variety of cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying bins, and preparing vacant rooms for new occupants.

The ideal candidate(s) will exhibit:


• A collaborative spirit to work alongside staff to address any health and safety concerns

• Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations

• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with policy

• Accurate record-keeping of completed tasks to support the services offered at the Lifehouse

• Completion of all scheduled duties as required

• Proper documentation of checklists as necessary

• Punctuality and a professional appearance

• Willingness to engage in necessary training

• Compliance with COSHH regulations, ensuring the safe use and storage of cleaning products

• A positive and non-judgmental approach
