We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our Emotional Disorders Team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a passionate psychiatrist eager to contribute to service enhancement and collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals. You will work closely with enthusiastic consultant colleagues and multidisciplinary team (MDT) members, engaging with various stakeholders including pediatricians, educational institutions, and allied health services.
In this role, you will benefit from a supportive environment with experienced consultant colleagues and a core trainee. Opportunities for teaching and training are available, including involvement in higher training schemes and collaboration with academic institutions to foster research interests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric leadership and guidance to the Emotional Disorders Team.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including initial evaluations and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with the MDT to develop management plans in accordance with established care pathways.
- Offer psychiatric consultation to the MDT and broader CAMHS team as necessary.
- Support the MDT in achieving clinical contact expectations, ensuring quality care delivery.
- Liaise with NHS England and other services for appropriate referrals.
Additional Duties:
- Participate in the daytime duty consultant rota.
- Provide support to the Urgent Care Team during consultant absences.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to clinical outcome monitoring.
- Engage in the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Teaching and Development:
- Deliver educational sessions to colleagues, trainees, and medical students.
- Stay current with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
- Participate in the CAMHS out-of-hours consultant rota.
