About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team at Anderselite Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading water treatment works in the West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health and safety of all personnel on site, including reporting any unsafe situations to the Site Manager.
  • Carry out work in a safe manner, taking precautions when working on or near public roads or water, and wearing necessary protective clothing or equipment.
  • Maintain records of underground services laid on site and define them by marker posts and signs during the construction period.
  • Check and understand specifications, drawings, and other contract documents.
  • Set out, level, and survey the site in accordance with the drawings and specification.
  • Prepare labour, plant, and material returns, as-built drawings, technical reports, and site diaries.
  • Liaise with purchasing, consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
  • Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
  • Plan work and efficiently organize plant and site facilities to meet programme deadlines.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager/Planner regarding construction programme, programme constraints, etc.
  • Comply with all safety requirements and resolve technical issues with employer's representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities.
  • Ensure quality control in accordance with company procedures, method statements, quality plans, and inspection and test plans.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in engineering or equivalent experience, who is a member of the relevant Professional Institution. Relevant construction experience and performance on similar projects are essential, as is a commitment to carrying out the project safely and in an environmentally responsible manner. Fluency in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills is also required.
