The ideal candidate will have a genuine drive for working with young children and providing them with a nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities for children, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery room, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members, building strong relationships and fostering a sense of community.
- Provide leadership and support to assistant educators, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
- Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging children to explore and learn through play.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in an early childhood education setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and education.
- Hold a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in childcare and education principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to manage and organise nursery activities effectively, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
