Our client, a leading FTSE 250 company, is undergoing a significant transformation in its Procurement and Supplier Management functions. As a result, they are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead their commercial and sourcing strategy.
**Job Summary**
The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership of commercial and sourcing strategy for a specific category. This includes leading business-critical Purchasing and Procurement projects, managing Supplier Management activities, and acting as an internal business partner to key stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement commercial and sourcing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Create clear and compelling category plans that establish a fit-for-purpose supply chain, balancing cost, quality, and risk considerations.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical projects and initiatives.
- Manage and develop a team of procurement professionals to achieve business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal business partners.
- Develop and implement effective contract management processes to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
**Requirements**
- Proven experience as a Senior Procurement Manager or equivalent role, with a track record of delivering commercial and sourcing strategies.
- Indirect category experience, preferably with exposure to logistics, distribution, or warehousing.
- Strong commercial experience with the ability to influence decision-making at the managerial level.
- Contract management experience in a complex commercial construct.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
