Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in West Kent, working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. As a key member of our Mental Health of Learning Disability (MHLD) service, you will provide specialist psychological services to individuals with mental health difficulties and/or challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect specialist psychology interventions, including assessment, therapy, and consultation, to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Work closely with colleagues in MHLD and other services to ensure timely discharge and community-based support for service users.
- Provide training placements for trainee clinical psychologists in this specialism.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative projects and initiatives to improve services and outcomes for individuals with learning disabilities.
We are looking for a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. Essential qualifications include a Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or working towards, and good BSc in psychology or equivalent. Desirable qualifications include a Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and at least one year of experience working as a clinical psychologist with people with learning disabilities.
