Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Lead to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a key member of our Adult Social Care service, you will play a vital role in developing and coordinating Social Work apprenticeships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the Social Work Apprenticeship program, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for apprentices.
- Collaborate with the Principal Social Worker and OD Consultant to ensure effective recruitment, placement, and support of apprentices.
- Build strong relationships with higher education institutions to secure high-quality Social Work education programs.
- Represent Wiltshire Council and Adult Social Care at meetings with HEIs, regional, and national groups, promoting best practices and influencing business aims.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance shared quality standards and sector expertise in social care.
- Line manage the Social Work Apprenticeship Development Co-ordinator and provide supervision and support to ensure successful program delivery.
- Qualified social worker with registration in Social Work England.
- Practice Educator (PEPs) trained or experience as an ASYE Assessor.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiating skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Good strategic and practical awareness of social work-related policy and legislation.
- Experience of designing and delivering training programs, auditing, and research.
- Fluent in English.
