Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to join our team at Press Red Rentals Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our warehouse and vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the organization and upkeep of the warehouse, including the management of inventory and equipment.
  • Inspect equipment and report any issues to the Rental Manager.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Handle general hire preps to ensure accurate loading of equipment onto vehicles.
  • Assist with setting up, preparing, and testing equipment for client demonstrations and site work.
  • Ensure all incoming equipment is checked back correctly against the job, with discrepancies logged and reported to the Rental Manager.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles and containers as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is in safe working order before leaving the warehouse.
  • Assist with regular vehicle inspections, basic maintenance, and reporting any concerns or faults to the management team.
  • Deliver or collect vehicles or equipment for jobs as required.
  • Assist with logistical planning for vehicles and staff.
  • Perform basic cable and equipment maintenance and repair when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work well under pressure, within a team, and to tight deadlines.
  • Keen to learn new skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize multiple jobs daily.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
  • Based within a reasonable commute of the warehouse.
  • Good all-round IT knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to quickly pick up new software.
  • Forklift, manual handling, first aid, and any other relevant health and safety training or certificates are beneficial but not essential.
