Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

At Home Group, we're looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our Repairs Partnership, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective repairs and maintenance services for our properties across Greater London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support our teams in delivering value for money services, working closely with our trades, maintenance managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct site visits to measure and value works, including pricing, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and cost variations.
  • Monitor contractor performance, cost to serve analysis, cost breakdown, demand understanding, workload, and workforce profiling.
  • Manage commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure the effective use of our works order systems, maximizing efficient use of work scheduling and ensuring accurate data recording.
Requirements:
  • A degree or strong equivalent operational experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Knowledge of procurement rules and legislation, with excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of housing repairs and improvements, including experience of Building Regulations, systems, and materials, and confident working to specifications, contracts, and data.
  • Experience of communication with employees, customers, and stakeholders, with the ability to support and challenge colleagues and contractors to work in the most cost-effective way.
  • A current driving license and access to a vehicle insured for work. We'll pay your mileage costs for using your vehicle at work.
