Job Title: Regional Tutor for Deaf Education Programme
About the Role:
The University of Leeds is seeking to appoint a part-time, fixed-term Regional Tutor for the MA Deaf Education Programme. The successful candidate will provide regional support for distance education students on the MA Deaf Education (Teacher of the Deaf) programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide induction and training to students at the start of the programme
- Attend university meetings and contribute to the development of the programme
- Deliver regional tutorials for specific modules, including planning and preparation time
- Supervise teaching placements for final-year students, including visits and report writing
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Teacher of the Deaf with experience in teacher mentoring and review. They will have a commitment to creating and delivering an excellent student experience and be able to work effectively in a distance education environment.
Working Arrangements:
The Regional Tutor will work on a part-time, fixed-term basis, providing support to students across the geographic spread of the programme. The role will involve regular communication with students, programme leaders, and other stakeholders.
