About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our dynamic team at Fostering People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the recruitment, training, assessment, support, and supervision of foster carers, ensuring high-quality placements for looked-after children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and assess foster carers to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to foster carers, including regular visits and reviews.
  • Work closely with foster carers, children, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children in care.
  • Contribute to the development of our fostering services, including policy development and service improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with our management team to ensure the effective delivery of our services.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with a current HCPC registration.
  • Recent experience in fostering and services for children, although less experienced candidates will be considered.
  • Excellent assessment skills, strong communication skills, and good IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in relation to fostering and safeguarding.
