Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team at Wincanton. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of orders, as well as maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process orders accurately and efficiently using Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) and handheld devices.
  • Load, pick, pack, and unload duties, including the lifting of heavy stock/products.
  • Complete manual handling tasks and duties safely using pallet trucks and other mechanical handling equipment (MHE).
  • Prepare orders accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality level.
  • Check picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch.
  • Support operational efficiency, general housekeeping, and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld devices.
