Heritage Design Specialist

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Heritage Design Specialist to join our dynamic team at GD Partnership Ltd. As a key member of our structural engineering department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality design solutions for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural engineering designs for projects in the food & retail, medical, industrial, and commercial building sectors.
• Collaborate with Revit technicians to produce CAD/BIM models and documentation, ensuring timely project delivery.
• Contribute to net-zero carbon construction initiatives and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
• Undertake site inspections, working closely with clients, architects, other consultants, and contractors to ensure project success.
• Represent the company at meetings with clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and ensuring design decisions are met.
• Manage financial aspects of projects, including budgeting and cost control.
• Develop and maintain excellent knowledge and understanding of structural design using various building materials, including traditional build, steel frame, reinforced concrete, and timber frames.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in BEng/BSc or Master's degree in MEng/MSc in a relevant field.
• Proficient in Tekla Structural Designer or alternative FEM analysis & design software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
