About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will provide assistance and support to residents at our National Probation Service Approved Premises (AP), ensuring their safety and security. You will maintain an active presence throughout your shift, monitoring the behavior of high-risk residents and ensuring the building is locked and secure during curfew periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and patrols of the building to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Monitor the behavior of high-risk residents and take appropriate action to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
  • Support a safe working environment for staff, residents, and visitors by adhering to Health and Safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Deal with visitors and telephone calls, and monitor the work of visiting contractors to ensure a smooth and secure operation.
  • Respond appropriately to abusive or aggressive behavior, maintaining a professional and calm demeanor at all times.

Requirements

  • SIA Security Guarding Licence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
