Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager – Construction Industry (Multi-site Management)

Location: UK (Multi-site)

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the operations of multiple warehouse sites across the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Multi-Site Management: Oversee the operations of 5+ warehouse facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Team Leadership: Manage warehouse staff across all locations, ensuring high levels of productivity and team morale.
  • Inventory Control: Implement effective inventory management systems to optimise stock levels, reduce waste, and improve supply efficiency.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate the logistics and distribution of materials to support ongoing construction projects.
  • Process Optimisation: Streamline warehouse processes and identify areas for improvement to boost operational efficiency.
  • Supplier & Vendor Relations: Work closely with suppliers and vendors to manage incoming materials and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Budget Management: Oversee warehouse budgets, controlling costs while maintaining high operational standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track warehouse KPIs and ensure all sites are meeting performance targets.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to warehouse operations, including logistics, security, and stock handling.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and logistics to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing warehouse operations, ideally in the construction or related industries.
  • Multi-site management experience is essential, with the ability to oversee teams across different locations.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
  • Ability to manage budgets and work to financial targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement process improvements.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on operational efficiency.
