Matchtech Energy is seeking a highly experienced Senior Safety Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major energy transition project in the UK.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Developing and delivering comprehensive technical safety reports and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Providing technical safety solutions to support the carbon capture pipeline project.
  • Conducting thorough safety assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate safety designs and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Providing expert safety advice and support to project teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Reviewing and analyzing safety data to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
  • Engaging in regular communication with stakeholders to discuss safety issues and concerns.

**Job Requirements:**

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Technical Safety within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of process safety principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with onshore pipelines and CO2 projects is highly advantageous.
