We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Restorative Dentistry Consultant, you will be responsible for providing a first-class clinical service, undertaking work in accordance with the Trust's procedures and operating policies, and conducting clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's service plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of dental conditions.
- Undertake clinical audits and quality improvement projects to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, including dental students and junior dentists.
- Participate in teaching and training activities, including undergraduate and postgraduate education.
- Fellowship in Dental Surgery or Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery or equivalent Masters qualification in a relevant clinical discipline.
- Full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council (GDC).
- On the GDC Specialist List in Restorative Dentistry or within six months of eligibility for inclusion.
- Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exit Examination in Restorative Dentistry or equivalent.
- Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCST in Restorative Dentistry.
- Successful completion of an SAC approved five-year minimum training programme in Restorative Dentistry, or within six months of completion, or equivalent.
- Experience in day-to-day organisation of Restorative services in a busy Teaching Hospital.
- Familiarity with information technology and general computer skills.
- Familiar with current structure of UK National Health Service and conversant with recent initiatives and changes.
