Position Overview:

The Recruiting Co, serving as an employment agency, is seeking to hire HGV Class 1 Operators for our esteemed client.

This client stands as one of the largest family-owned enterprises in the UK, having been established for over a century. With a workforce exceeding 7000 individuals and an annual turnover surpassing £1.3 Billion, they are expanding their team of HGV Class 1 Operators.


Work Location:

Bedford, Bedfordshire
Working Schedule: 5 shifts across 7 days, with start times ranging from early morning hours.
Compensation: £21.00 per hour for weekdays, £26.00 per hour for Saturdays, and £28.00 per hour for Sundays and Bank Holidays. Immediate openings are available.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Transporting goods to Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) and National Distribution Centers (NDCs) across the UK.
  • Occasional deliveries to retail outlets in the southern UK and London.
  • Utilizing a tail lift for unloading caged products.
  • Maintaining professionalism in accordance with company policies at all times.
  • Engaging with customers, necessitating excellent customer service abilities.
  • Promptly reporting any incidents, accidents, or vehicle-related issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • HGV C+E license held for a minimum of one year.
  • Possession of a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Required safety gear including Hi Viz clothing and safety boots.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on driving license.
