About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Collins King & Associates Limited. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in leading the culinary operations of our restaurant and events venue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring seamless service delivery for up to 100 covers and various events.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, utilizing high-quality ingredients and culinary expertise.
  • Lead a team of 6-8 Chefs, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure excellent team performance.
  • Manage kitchen finances, including ordering and rota writing, with a focus on cost control and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and HACCP regulations.
  • Work a varied schedule, including weekends, to meet the demands of our busy restaurant and events business.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a high-volume, fresh food restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of classic British and European cuisine, with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a close-knit team.
  • Good financial awareness and experience with ordering and rota writing.
  • Proficient training in food safety, health and safety, and HACCP.
