Job Summary:

Morgan Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Lead to join our team in a pivotal role at our manufacturing plant in Greater Manchester. As a seasoned Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence and safety in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance, service, repair, and upgrade of all electrical equipment necessary for manufacturing operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Support the SAP system with HV switching requirements and schedules.
  • Select and manage contractors to ensure high-quality work.
  • Produce engineering documentation, including permits to work, risk assessments, purchase orders, training documentation, and engineering drawings/manuals.
  • Conduct LOTO training for the maintenance team, including refreshers and auditing.
  • Purchase electrical equipment, including HV, LV, VSD, and PLC.
  • Replace obsolete parts to maintain equipment efficiency.
  • Investigate breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and training to electrical engineers.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, L3 qualification.
  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical equipment and power supply in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office tools.
  • HV Qualification AP15 advantageous, with training provided if necessary.
