The Care Manager will provide strategic leadership and management in a domiciliary care setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement quality assurance initiatives to maintain satisfactory standards with social care regulators and local authorities.
- Grow and enhance the business through strategic partnerships with Suffolk County Council (SCC), East Coast Care (ECC), and the private sector.
- Attend regular contract meetings with SCC to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Oversee consistency in carer hours and staffing levels to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Audit and maintain accurate records of care plans, risk assessments, medications, and other essential documentation.
- Provide a culture of continuous quality improvement, using the framework of clinical governance to drive excellence.
- Ensure all staff are annually appraised and meet required standards of performance.
- Manage under-performance through objective setting and regular reviews, and maintain a culture of open communication and feedback.
- Ensure the company complies with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and other legislations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Hold an NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent, or be working towards it.
- Have experience setting up a new branch, including securing funding and managing key business elements.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills, with the ability to delegate tasks and manage a team while remaining involved.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to allocate resources effectively and have good financial management skills to ensure cost-effective delivery of domiciliary care services.
- Have a good understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards applying to adult social care.
- Be able to manage and motivate staff effectively, providing ongoing training and support.
- Have a caring and compassionate attitude towards service users and their families.
