Job Description

Experienced Teaching Assistant


Clarus Education Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide support to KS1 and KS2 children in our Lewisham mainstream Primary School.


The Role of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the teacher in planning, preparing and delivering lessons to meet the needs of pupils.
  • Work closely with the teacher to identify and address the learning needs of individual pupils.
  • Assist with the implementation of the school's curriculum and educational programs.
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils who require additional help.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in the classroom, including preparing materials and resources.
  • Assist with the supervision of pupils during lessons and breaks.
  • Help to maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, teachers and other school staff.


Requirements:

  • Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
