GSL Education is seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join one of our partner schools in Cleethorpes. In this role, you will have the chance to engage and motivate students in their exploration of historical events and themes. Your lessons will be designed to foster curiosity, critical analysis, and a profound understanding of history.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the national curriculum or relevant educational standards in history, crafting lessons that encompass a variety of historical periods and significant events.
- Develop and adapt educational resources, including lesson plans and multimedia presentations, to captivate students and enhance their learning experience.
- Maintain a disciplined and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Evaluate student comprehension through diverse assessment methods such as examinations, essays, and presentations, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Incorporate a range of perspectives in your teaching, ensuring inclusivity and representation of various social groups and communities.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular activities related to history, such as clubs, field trips, and competitions.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Possess prior teaching experience in an educational setting.
- Hold original or certified copies of degree certificates relevant to teaching history.
- Have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate or proof of completion of an accredited teacher training program.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in history.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
