Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is on the lookout for a talented Reliability and Maintenance Specialist to provide essential support for various programs, primarily focusing on the AH64E Programme. This role may also extend to offering assistance across the broader BDUK platform portfolio as required.

At Boeing Defence UK, we function within an engineering matrix structure, utilizing diverse engineering departments to deliver specialized technical knowledge and products to our initiatives. A pivotal department is the Product Support Engineering (ILS Engineering), which emphasizes critical technical domains such as:

  • Logistics Support Analysis,
  • Reliability and Maintainability,
  • Reliability-Centered Maintenance Analysis,
  • Engineering Data Utilization,
  • Obsolescence Management,
  • Integrated Logistics Support Engineering,
  • Technical Documentation.

The Reliability and Maintenance Specialist will operate under the guidance of the R&M Lead Engineer, reporting to the BDUK AH64E Product Support Manager. The primary duty is to deliver proactive assistance to the Supply Chain Lead/Manager in ensuring the provision and availability of spare parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop R&M and Data Utilization artifacts to:
    • Validate the efficiency of the Apache maintenance program
    • Spot opportunities to improve reliability, maintainability, supportability, and availability
  • Provide analytical support to convert information and data in collaboration with the Data Utilization Capability
  • Assist and evaluate Fault Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) activities
  • Identify potential R&M service enhancement opportunities
  • Conduct thorough analysis to boost reliability, maintainability, and availability for evaluated assets
  • Coordinate with platform Design Organization and other entities to ensure well-founded recommendations
  • Support internal and external meetings, providing valuable inputs to stakeholders
  • Prepare materials for briefings and working groups
  • Collaborate with the Material & Demand Forecasting Team for Supply Chain Management modeling activities
  • Guide team members on the effective use of technical information

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Reliability and Maintainability Engineering
  • Familiarity with Civil or Military Regulatory articles
  • Knowledge of International Support standards such as Def Stan 00-600
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Support Engineering in the Military sector
  • Proven ability to ensure first-time quality
  • Capability to interpret Aircraft Drawings and engineering documentation
  • Experience in creating Support Product documentation
  • Collaborative skills in identifying optimization opportunities
  • Previous hands-on Aircraft maintenance experience
