**About the Role**

Altus Group is seeking an experienced surveyor to join our dynamic Business Rates Team in London. As a senior/associate level rating surveyor, you will be responsible for managing client cases, formulating appeals, and preparing assessment reports.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Inspection and measurement of client properties
  • Drafting floor plans using our CAD program
  • Managing client cases and formulating appeals
  • Preparing assessment reports, analyzing, investigating, and gathering evidence for business rates assessment appeals
  • Keeping company records and databases updated
  • Communicating with clients, both written and verbally
  • Delivering excellent service to clients, ensuring a strong and positive working relationship, effectively dealing with any issues or queries
  • Achieving team KPIs, contributing to the overall success of the wider team and Altus

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of 2 years rating experience
  • University degree – A Real Estate or property-related degree would be beneficial, but non-cognate degrees or equivalent experience will be considered
  • Full driving license, with access to own car
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • A strong commercial awareness
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and CRM systems
