English Teacher Opportunity at Valence School

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team at Valence School, a KCC Foundation residential and day Special School for children and young people with physical disabilities, complex medical needs, and associated learning and communication difficulties.

As an English teacher at Valence School, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of our students, teaching across two of the three learning pathways within the secondary school. You will be a valued member of our whole school community, working closely with colleagues to ensure we meet the individual needs of our students.

This post is suitable for both early career and more experienced teachers, with secondary or primary school experience. Experience of teaching GCSE English Literature and Language, or equivalent qualifications, is desirable.

Valence School is a unique and rewarding place to work, with a large site and high-quality teaching, social care, and health care facilities. Our staff team of over 200 people provides specialist teaching, social care, therapies, and nursing care to an exceptionally high standard.

We are part of the Kent SEN Trust, a cooperative trust of ten schools working together to improve outcomes for all the children and young people attending the schools.

Our overall aim is to enable every child and young person to achieve meaningful independence. We work proactively with parents and external professionals to provide holistic support for every child and young person.
