NHS National Services Scotland is offering a remarkable opportunity for a Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist, specializing in oculoplastic procedures. This position is available for a duration of 6 months, providing a chance to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment.
The Ophthalmology Department is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive service to the region, with outpatient consultations taking place across multiple facilities. Surgical procedures and inpatient care are primarily conducted at the main hospital.
As the department continues to grow and adapt, we aim to enhance our patient care by offering modern and empathetic services.
The successful applicant will become part of a collaborative team comprising 10 Consultants, an Associate Specialist, two Specialty Doctors, and five Specialty Trainees from the West of Scotland Ophthalmology Training programme.
This position is structured as a full-time role on a 10 PA basis, which includes up to 2 non-direct clinical care (non-DCC) sessions. However, applications from candidates interested in part-time work will also be considered. For those working full-time, there may be opportunities for additional clinical responsibilities.
