Role Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated individual to take on the role of Manufacturing Planning Specialist. This position is crucial for ensuring the seamless supply of products through effective coordination of the planning function. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating the Sales & Operations Execution meetings.
  • Overseeing the activities of detailed schedulers and material planners based on the aggregated monthly plans.
  • Supporting the fulfillment function by ensuring product availability and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborating with site leaders to enhance production adherence and addressing any deviations from the production schedule.
  • Managing raw material planning and material call-offs.
  • Leading initiatives aimed at improving both short-term and long-term factory performance.
  • Engaging with various stakeholders, including site managers, distribution managers, finance teams, sales managers, and customer service leads.
  • Developing the planning team and embedding best practices in operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the weekly Sales & Operations Execution meetings for assigned production facilities.
  • Contribute to the Integrated Business Planning process, addressing capacity constraints and short-term issues.
  • Coordinate material planners and detailed schedulers for various supply scenarios.
  • Adjust production plans based on weekly reviews of monthly progress and order book consumption.
  • Manage slow-moving stock and ensure proper control of master data.
  • Execute plans for the introduction of new products and the phase-out of obsolete items.
  • Respond promptly to changes in demand or supply to minimize inventory obsolescence.
  • Propose improvements in raw material procurement and subcontracting processes.
  • Drive initiatives to optimize working capital, costs, and service levels.
  • Address availability issues of finished goods within the team.
  • Lead projects aimed at continuous improvement of planning performance.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Develop team competencies and promote operational excellence.

Candidate Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in production and material planning within large-scale manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing production planning and stock management in high-volume settings.
  • Proficiency in SAP R/3 (MM and PP) and APO SNP.
  • Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as SAP BW/BO and MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of tactical and operational planning processes.
  • Experience in managing small teams or project teams.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities.

Compensation:
Competitive daily rate, negotiable based on experience. Standard working hours will be confirmed during the interview process.
