Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our established finance team in Slough. As a Trainee Accountant, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in various finance disciplines, work closely with stakeholders, and study towards a professional qualification.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process supplier invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Assist in customer billings and master data management.
  3. Process self-billed payments and ensure compliance with company policies.
  4. Process staff expenses and mileage claims.
  5. Complete supplier reconciliations and ensure all invoices are processed on time.
  6. Allocate direct debits, standing orders, and faster payments.
  7. Monitor and resolve debit balances.
  8. Ensure all processing is in compliance with company policies.
  9. Maintain effective relations with the business by resolving queries promptly and efficiently.
  10. Maintain procedures documentation and provide holiday and sickness cover for the team.
  11. Complete tasks within deadlines and keep relevant processes documentation up to date.
  12. Resolve queries quickly and accurately and maintain accurate document files for audit purposes.
Requirements
  1. IT literate with strong Excel skills.
  2. Previous experience in Purchase Ledger/Billings.
  3. Experience in high-volume data processing.
  4. Good working knowledge of Excel.
  5. Keen eye for detail.
  6. Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  7. 'Quality in everything we do, get it right first time' attitude.
  8. Team player with ability to follow procedures and guidelines to achieve successful team outcomes.
