Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils aged 11 to 19 who have complex needs and disabilities, including MLD, PMLD, physical needs, and a range of SEN.

About the Role:
  • Support pupils with complex needs and disabilities in a secondary school setting
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to provide individualized support
  • Assist with personal care, including changing and hoisting, as needed
  • Deliver sensory curriculum-based learning activities and support communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or SEN
  • Ability to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
  • Happy to carry out personal care, including changing and hoisting
  • Promote happiness, self-reliance, and encourage positive interactions
