About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Nelson. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service user, empowering them to live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to our service user, including repositioning, clinical observations, and attending to their clinical care needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure a peaceful environment and promote a restful night's sleep.
  • Administer medication and provide support with daily living tasks.
  • Build positive relationships with our service user and their family, promoting a sense of trust and respect.
Requirements
  • 3 months' previous care experience, including medication administration, personal care, and moving and handling.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, and be available for on-call shifts.
  • Full clinical training and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
