Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Pearson Whiffin - Manufacturing, Engineering & Technical. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform effective diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of industrial electronic and mechanical equipment.
  • Responsible for dismantling, checking, and testing of components.
  • Attend breakdowns and minimize machinery downtime.
  • Work with CMMS systems, work orders, and spares.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to a safe working condition.
  • Provide support to Production teams.
Requirements:
  • Experienced Maintenance Engineer, qualified to City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Electrically biased.
  • Experienced in working with a range of commercial and industrial machinery.
  • A basic understanding of working with PLC controls (Siemens ideally).
  • PPM, breakdown, installation, and reactive maintenance experience.
  • A great, team-oriented attitude.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Able to provide technical support internally to Production teams.
  • Good written and verbal English.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Computer literate.
  • Able to commit to the 4 on 4 off shift pattern reliably.
  • A full driving licence and own transport.
