Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the University of Exeter's Centre for Medical Mycology. The successful candidate will contribute to a research programme focused on maternal immune transfer, under the supervision of Prof William Horsnell.
About the RoleThe Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be responsible for leading their own specific project, collaborating with other team members, and contributing to the understanding of how mothers transfer immunity to their offspring. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study, with a strong background in research methods and techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Develop research objectives, projects, and proposals
- Identify sources of research funding and contribute to securing funds
- Make presentations at conferences and other events
- Work collaboratively, supervising the work of others and acting as team leader as required
- PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study
- Sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques
- Evidence of research activity and published research
- Experience in flow cytometry, mammalian cell culture, and mouse infection models
- Proficiency in use of Graphpad, Excel, and other Microsoft Office programmes
