Cargo Operations Clerk Opportunity at Heathrow

We are seeking an experienced Cargo Operations Clerk to join our team at Heathrow. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of cargo through our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import/Export Operations: You will be responsible for dealing with both imports and exports, ensuring all documentation is correct and completed with each shipment.
  • Liaising with Customers: You will liaise with customers on a daily basis, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Specialist Shipments: You will handle specialist shipments, including DG, high-value, radioactive, and live animals, ensuring all necessary procedures are followed.
  • Warehouse and Driver Liaison: You will work closely with our warehouse staff and drivers to ensure seamless cargo movement.
  • Administrative Tasks: You will be responsible for completing administrative tasks, including responding to customer emails and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Import/Export Experience: You will have previous import/export experience, with a strong understanding of cargo operations and procedures.
  • Cargo or Freight Forwarding Experience: You will have experience in cargo or freight forwarding, with a strong knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
  • PC Literacy: You will be PC literate, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Good Admin Skills: You will have good administrative skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Import/Export Knowledge: You will have a strong understanding of import/export regulations and procedures.
  • Good Customer Service Skills: You will have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a high level of service to our customers.

Working Hours:

  • 4 on 4 off: You will work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with 4 days on followed by 4 days off.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a full 5-year employment check, a criminal record check, and provide all necessary right-to-work documents.
