About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our Family Residential Centre team at Welland House. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to families and children in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trust and develop nurturing relationships with service users to promote their independence, wellbeing, and strengths.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to provide comprehensive support and guidance.
  • Lead and support Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day duties, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the promotion, monitoring, and maintenance of a safe environment at all times, prioritizing the well-being and safety of service users.
Requirements
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this in the required timeframe.
  • At least 1 year's supervisory and shift leader experience in a setting supporting families.
  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
