Position Summary:

We are currently looking for a Controller of Site Safety to oversee and ensure safe practices on our railway maintenance projects. This role is crucial in promoting a secure working environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise site operations to guarantee adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Manage and mentor team members, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.
  • Conduct various construction tasks as assigned, including de-vegetation and drainage work.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are maintained in optimal condition and report any issues promptly.
  • Utilize and care for personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively.
  • Engage with site management to discuss safety improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Assist in the completion of site documentation for reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of PTS and COSS certifications is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in civil engineering and rail sector construction.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Additional qualifications such as SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid are advantageous.
