Job Title: Activity Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Activity Therapist to join our team at Rosscare, a leading provider of healthcare services. As an Activity Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs, and prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the mobility needs of service users and develop personalized plans to improve their mobility and independence.
  • Prescribe and provide manual and powered wheelchairs, as well as associated accessories, to meet the needs of service users.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of service users.
  • Liaise with service user groups and other stakeholders to facilitate joint working and identify opportunities for improving service user outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of internal training resources and provide support for internal and external training programs.
  • Undertake and document risk assessments and corresponding risk management plans.
Requirements:
  • Registered with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Clinical Scientist, or registered as a Nurse with the NMC.
  • Full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle and willingness to drive Rosscare vehicles as necessary.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
