We are seeking a MEICA Project Engineer to enhance our Natural Resources division, focusing on wastewater treatment projects.

Location: Commutable distance to Thames Valley sites - on-site presence is essential, with potential for remote work when feasible.
Contract: Permanent, full-time role – flexible and part-time hours may be negotiated.

Key Responsibilities

Kier is a strategic collaborator with Thames Water for AMP7 and AMP8 on Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions. We provide design and construction services for both new and existing infrastructure assets.

As a MEICA Project Engineer, you will be integral to our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP). Collaborating with fellow Project Engineers, you will ensure the successful delivery of MEICA-focused projects in alignment with Kier's and Thames Water's KPIs.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Promoting Health, Safety, and Wellbeing by engaging with both direct and supply chain workforce, setting a positive example.
  • Choosing Mechanical & Electrical supply chain and package scope based on technical and commercial insights, while being prepared to challenge for program or commercial benefits.
  • Overseeing work to guarantee compliance with method statements and directives from the project manager.
  • Managing and reviewing MEICA design outputs from our design partners.
  • Collaborating with MEICA site supervisors and commissioning engineers to track site progress and ensure adherence to approved designs.

Candidate Profile
This MEICA Project Engineer position is ideal for individuals who possess:

  • Experience in the water industry, particularly in commissioning Mechanical and/or Electrical systems in wastewater.
  • Relevant qualifications such as BEng/ONC/HNC/BTEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • CSCS card, SSSTS, and Confined Spaces certification.
  • Proficiency in reviewing RAMS and understanding risks associated with process plant installations.
  • A valid driving license.
