Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to join our team in the South West region. As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of service and repair on all cleaning equipment, ensuring the delivery of a world-class service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and Repair: Maintain a high standard of service and repair on all cleaning equipment, ensuring the delivery of a world-class service experience.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with the Regional Service Manager and effectively communicate daily with the regional scheduler to assist operations.
  • Documentation: Complete documentation of work orders promptly on Oneview FS365, ensuring accurate records are created.
  • Stock Control: Control van stocks in accordance with customer base, ensuring a 5% difference is adhered to during all stock takes.
  • Sales Leads: Identify and communicate sales leads to relevant sales personnel.
  • Customer Relationships: Promote healthy relationships with customers and the One Professional Team.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment to a satisfactory and safe condition.
  • Training and Development: Participate in on-job coaching with the Regional Manager, ensuring personal development plans are relevant.
  • Elevated Duties: Perform elevated duties in the absence of the Regional Manager, if required.
  • Reactive Weekend Work: Attend reactive weekend on-call work orders, as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: 3 GCSEs at Grade 4, or equivalent, including English and Maths, and formal mechanical/electrical qualifications.
  • Experience: Proven experience in the service and/or cleaning industry, or willingness to fast-track through training.
  • Skills: Fantastic communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to improvise and be conversant with customers.
  • Knowledge: Experience with electronics, batteries, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and diesel engines, as well as Municipal Cleaning Equipment, Fork trucks, HGV, Plant Hire, Horticultural, and Agricultural Machinery.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel and stay overnight, if required, and a full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Training: Some training will take place in Europe, so a passport is required.
