Social Worker | Children and Families Team | Torfaen Council
We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our front door team. The role will involve a mix of Child Protection, Assessment, and Looked after Children work, with a focus on home-based work and community visits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments, CIN, CP, and court work
* Undertake initial and core assessments
* Manage a caseload of children in need and child protection cases, implementing multi-agency plans to address needs and risk
* Work with Children and Families to achieve desired outcomes
* Discharge care orders
* Attend and participate in Strategy meetings
* Conduct Looked after Children Reviews
* Complete Care Plans
* Child Permanence Reports (CPR)
* Complete Pathway Plans
To be considered, you must have a Social Work qualification and at least 3 years post-qualified experience working as a Qualified Social Worker in a similar team.
