Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

Orion is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company, Gas, for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer. Following the award of a new contract, the company is expanding their team to ensure planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and handle reactive repairs across various sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components, identifying hazards and required repairs.
  • As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, carrying out necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Execute electrical installations, system upgrades, and modifications as needed.
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems such as motors, lighting, control systems, and wiring.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role.
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant field.
  • 18th Edition certification (preferred).
  • Testing and inspection qualifications (preferred).
  • Experience with both single-phase and three-phase electrical installations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
