Injection Moulding Technician

We are seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Technician to join our team at Meridian Business Support. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Injection Moulding Team to develop new tooling and moulding programs.
  • Perform safe and efficient tool changes, utilizing pre-set programs to minimize downtime.
  • Set up and maintain all ancillary machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Handle materials, including colour changes, mixing, drying, and granulating, to meet quality standards.
  • Verify that first-offs meet relevant quality standards and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Utilize staff to assist with tool changes, material changes, and general department operations.
  • Participate in process improvement activities to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Start-up and shut-down the entire department, including moulding machines and ancillary equipment.
  • Accurately record and report production data and quality metrics.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 2-shift rotation (6am-2pm/ 2pm-10pm) or 3-shift rotation (6am-2pm/ 10pm-6am/ 2pm-10pm).

Salary: £26,344.50 per annum (2-shift rotation) or £26,929.50 per annum (3-shift rotation).
