About the Opportunity:
Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist II to join our team. As a Physiotherapist II, you will play a key role in providing coordination of physiotherapy and other allied health clinical services. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide leadership and supervision to students and team members as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up.
- Make decisions and advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area to ensure safe, efficient, and effective client care.
- Ensure physiotherapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics, and AHS policy and guidelines.
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of an assigned service area and monitor care delivery, identifying service needs and assisting other medical staff with caseload management.
- Participate in program development and operational planning and represent the department on committees or programs.
- Make decisions on staffing level requirements, workflow, caseload priorities in collaboration with managers and other healthcare providers.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience.
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
