Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, ensuring load security using ratchet straps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering loads throughout the UK, including full and groupage loads
  • Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork
  • Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customers' expectations
  • Attending regular training sessions

Requirements

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service
  • Working to deadlines
  • Confident, polite, and a team player
  • Good geographical knowledge
