Project Engineer Job Description

Reed is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join their UK Projects Department. The successful candidate will support the coordination and execution of all aspects of multi-discipline engineering, quality control, and material supply for £multi-million contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and monitor project schedules and Quality Plans.
  • Review technical aspects of sub-contractor bids.
  • Compile contract variations, status reports, shipping lists, and installation instructions.
  • Manage sub-contractors to ensure products meet order specifications and delivery dates.
  • Foreign travel to meetings with clients and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline preferred, or strong project engineering/management background.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and to budget.
  • Good commercial acumen and analytical & technical problem-solving skills.
  • Pro-active with a desire to improve processes and business performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Project. Knowledge of 2D or 3D CAD software is advantageous.
