Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Control Manager to lead our team in delivering a high-quality service to our customers and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Building Control team, ensuring that the service meets statutory requirements and performance targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive transformation and organisational change, leveraging digital technologies and best practices to improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Building Control & Local Land Charges to develop and implement a programme to drive continuous service improvement.
  • Manage budgets, including monthly forecast reporting and annual reviews of fees and charges.
  • Support the Head of Building Control & Local Land Charges in developing and implementing marketing and promotion strategies to increase market share and achieve external quality accreditation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in building control management, with a strong understanding of statutory requirements and performance targets.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
